In this delicate anthology, each poem is a story inspired by my life experiences. These moments are transformed into poetic language, unique formatting, presented in every word and sentence, and the details of the illustrations.
As these works were created, they seem to bring back those times in life. Now, I have collected these perhaps very private inner worlds into this book. Perhaps some emotions might resonate, reminding readers of the cherished moments in their past lives that are worth savoring and treasuring again and again.
Why 'Undecided'?
In a world awash with contrasting hues, my poetry collection is aptly named "Undecided." This anthology delves deep into my journey of self-identity exploration, where I stand at the crossroads of bicultural identities, intellectual dilemmas, and the quest for individuality in a collective society. Reflecting on the past, I discovered that my memories were intricately intertwined with subtle differences and diverse experiences. "Undecided" celebrates my acceptance of an ever-changing self, continuously evolving in a fluid state. Rather than succumbing to society's relentless clock, always ticking to remind us of predefined milestones, I embrace the uncertainties that uncover the nuanced gray areas within life's grand narrative. This collection stands as a testament to my ongoing growth, where each twist and turn reveals another facet of my complex, beautiful, and ever-evolving self.
'Āsava' is the first poem I ever published on my writing journey (45, Issue 40, The FOBISIAN). Invited by my school, I published an article sharing the story of my poem creation on its website.
